Who We Are
Several years ago, Deb Miller and Sherri Wade realized the ever growing need to provide our elder community with options. We saw the limited availability of qualified staff and caregivers who had the same goals as we did. Our search began to put together a group of caregivers with experience, compassion, and availability. We then proceeded to go through the state of New Hampshire’s regulations pertaining to Personal Service Providers. We are licensed now through the state and have a respected referral network. D&S Elder services, as we describe ourselves is the “in-between” - when a nursing facility is not yet required, but your loved one is unable to remain alone. We are available anywhere between 2 and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our staff is experienced in assisting elderly with life skills. We are ready to provide transportation, light housekeeping, meal preparation, supervision, safety, and being the advocate for the client and the family. We are on call for emergencies and are committed to the best care for our clients.
Debbie Miller-"The passion I have for assisting the elderly began as a young woman, realizing that their life experience, wisdom, and advice is invaluable. I then took a course to receive my LNA license, enabling me to work in a nursing home, with several agencies, and eventually for a family doctor. I have continued with assisting the elderly for over 30 years. My goal is to allow a client to remain in their home until end of life".
Sherri Wade- "I began caring for the elderly as a young teenager, having the privilege to help with my grandfather’s care. This led me to a career in elder care. I took a course at Maplewood Nursing and received my LNA license, where I continued working for over ten years. I then moved to Cheshire Medical Center where I worked on the Med-surgical floor and Farnum Rehab Unit. I have continued caring for clients in their home. My desire is to bring quality care with a passion to keep the elderly in their homes".
